1 large tree lost is 1 day of oxygen lost for up to 4 people, and up to 48 more pounds of pollution on top of that.

According to the US Forest Service, our country is losing

36+ million

trees a year. Now, think about what it will be like for our children’s children.

We are Deserts to Forests – more than just tree huggers, but an organization who knows how to locate and utilize Earth-Generated Water* to turn deserts into forests.

Our goal

Is to turn deserts and arid lands into forests of indigenous trees and other vegetation, to help offset the destruction of rain and other forests globally, enhance wildlife habitats, vastly increase carbon sequestration naturally, increase local precipitation through transpiration, alleviate high temperatures and droughts and present a working model to show the world what can be done with many of their deserts.

*Earth-Generated Water: water that is formed below the Earth’s crust, in the mantle, rising up as steam, through the cracks, faults and fissures caused by the movement of the tectonic plates, earthquake and volcanic action, collecting in underground aquifers, getting bigger and bigger over thousands of years, sometimes rising all the way up to the surface and sometimes still hot – hot springs, which are a prime example of Earth-Generated Water. Excessive Heat Warning

Having fewer days of 100+ degree temperatures, and fewer droughts is a huge plus!

It’s estimated that since the middle of June, 2024,

75+ million

people in the United States felt the extreme heat, which is roughly 23% of the population.

That’s just 1 country out of

195

countries. Now, think about what it will be like in the very near future.

The goal of the Deserts to Forests organization is to help plant trees that will turn into a woodland, and then into a forest.

“Well wait a minute here – deserts are deserts for a reason. There is not enough rainfall, so how is this going to work?”

Some of you are probably thinking that right now. But did you know that there are huge amounts of water deep underground that can be brought to the surface?

Did you also know that plants and trees make rain? They “drink” the water, and then exhale some of it into the air. Clouds are then formed, which creates rain, which, in turn, puts water back into the ground. Trees also cool the ground and air around them

That, folks, is how drylands are being transformed around the world.

“Okay, so why aren’t governments planting trees in deserts and arid lands?”

There are some governments around the world who are. They are transforming the edges of the deserts into woodlands and expanding out, which will eventually become a forest. But for the other governments who are not doing anything, or not enough, that’s a good question.

This desert afforestation project will garner plenty of national and internation media attention and show these governments what can be done and how to do it.  With well over 20% of Earth’s land surface deserts, and more and more being degraded into deserts every day, there are many millions of square miles of deserts that can be turned into forests for our children and their children’s children!

How You Can Help

Watch this cool video on how deserts and arid lands can be changed into forests, and how you can help speed up the sprouting

R

Just one mature tree

can give you and several of your friends or family members a day’s supply of oxygen while also helping to clean the air.
Now think of millions of trees!

R

You can point to some of the trees

and say: “I helped plant ‘em.” Think about what the Earth will be like for your children’s children.

R

Well, here is the perfect opportunity to do something about it!

Have you ever felt any responsibility for why so many trees have been and are being destroyed?
